The Sigourney bowling teams have had a strong start to the winter and most recently hit the lanes at a home meet on December 16th.
The Savage boys placed second out of three teams with a score of 2,099 pins while Davis County won with 2,596. Freshman Brock Alderson paced the team with a two-game score of 349 to place third including a high game of 203. Other Sigourney finishes included Drew Dobbins with 330, Jordan Shadley 265, Corren Freeloads 257, Gable Goff 227, and Ty Krueger 222. The team’s baker games total was 671.
The Sigourney girls beat Davis County in a single dual 1,801 to 1,706. Hannah Alderson bested the whole field with a 340 series and Samantha Bombei was third with 269. Dana O’Neill shot a 199, Lily Vanvoltenburg 198, and Emma Seifert had 130. Sigourney’s baker games total was 633.
The boys are 4-2 and the girls are 2-2. Both teams resume play January 4th at Knoxville.
