An undefeated first half of the season translated to the Keota boys’ basketball team making its way into the top 10 rankings in the latest AP poll.
Keota sits at 8-0 and comes in at #9 in class 1A, a bump up from last week being in the receiving votes category. North Linn holds the top spot in the class. The Eagles had little trouble in the pre-Christmas portion of their schedule with no game being closer than 23 points. The other KCII area boys’ team that was recognized is Washington (5-1) just outside of the top 10 by receiving votes in class 3A.
Keota resumes play on Tuesday hosting BGM. Washington will host Burlington on Monday in a game that can be heard on FM 106.1 KCII.
