A new chair and vice chair was appointed to the Washington County Board of Supervisors Monday.
Current Board Chair Jack Seward, Jr. stated that his position should be seen as revolving and that the vice chair should move up to the position. Therefore a motion was made for Vice Chair Richard Young to be appointed as chair, which was approved, and then the Board approved a motion appointing Bob Yoder as Vice Chair. The Board later made several committee and board appointments, including reappointing Wellman resident Bill Nickel to serve another five year term on the Conservation Board. The Board also approved a personnel change request to place County Attorney John Gish back on the payroll as he recently returned from a U.S. Army Reserve deployment, and a personnel change request to eliminate the part-time assistant real estate administrator position from the county auditor’s office.
