The Sigourney boys and girls basketball teams posted impressive wins at home against Colfax-Mingo on Tuesday night. The Sigourney girls took the contest with the Tigerhawks by a 44-33 count. Sigourney led 9-7 after one quarter and 18-17 at halftime. Things were tight into the second half with the Savages holding a slim lead 28-27 going to the fourth. Sigourney finished strong, going on a 16-6 run that spanned the entire final quarter to pull away for the win. Kaylee Weber led the Savages with a monster 26 point 15 rebound double double. With the win, Sigourney is now 6-3 on the year. The Savages were also a winner in the boys game 67-51 to run their record to 2-5. The Sigourney boys and girls will be back on the floor Friday when they travel to HLV.
