A Washington man who was convicted this past December for third-degree sexual abuse, a class C felony, was arrested on Tuesday for a probation violation.
According to the Washington County Communications Center, 23-year-old Ernest Lee Shaw, Jr. was taken into custody by a sheriff’s deputy on a $25,000 cash-only bond. Through a plea agreement, Shaw was convicted of an amended charge and given a suspended 10-year prison sentence to be placed on five years probation. He was originally charged with third-degree sexual abuse second offense, a class A felony for a May 23, 2020 incident, and was also convicted in December of indecent contact with a child, an aggravated misdemeanor, for an April 22nd incident. KCII will bring you more information as it becomes official.
