A Southeast Iowa Super Conference boys’ matchup took place in Mediapolis on Friday and the Bulldogs pulled away from Columbus Community for a 72-33 win.

A rough start spelled doom for the Wildcats trailing 29-8 after one and the margin got steeper after every quarter. Mediapolis’ (2-7) Ben Egan hit five triples to finish with a game-high 24 points. Columbus was led by Mason Hodges with 14 points and six rebounds while Tim Hills recorded nine points.

The Wildcats drop to 0-10 and hit the hardwood again tonight at Wapello (8-1).
