
It was all Wapello in a Southeast Iowa Super Conference basketball doubleheader on Saturday when they swept Lone Tree on the road.
The Arrow (5-8) girls held the Lions under seven points in every quarter and cruised their way to a 42-19 victory. Sammy Ewart had three triples for Wapello to finish with 12 points. Kasey Chown had 11 points and 10 rebounds for Lone Tree.
The Indian (11-1) boys stormed out to a 16-3 advantage after one and never wavered in a 69-42 final. Wapello shot 56% from the floor and had four players in double figures led by Tade Parsons’ 16 points.
The Lone Tree girls are now 3-5 and the boys drop to 0-8. Both squads travel to Winfield-Mt. Union today.
