Whether you’re a reader or a writer, the Washington Public Library has adult programming offerings for either this month.

Library Director Bryna Walker says the first event will be the Roaming Readers Book Club which will be meeting Monday, January 25th from 1-2 p.m. on Zoom, “This is a book club that Tammy [Valentine] does, she is targeting the author Stephen King this time and so you just get to just read your choice of Stephen King books and they get together on Zoom, and we can send you the Zoom link if you’re interested in being a part of that. And then you just talk about the book that you chose to read of Stephen King’s, it’s just a favorite author of hers so she thought it would be a fun January activity.”

The second event hosted this January is the monthly Washington Writer’s Workshop being held Friday, January 29th at 10 a.m. on Zoom. Morningside College emeritus english professor Dr. Marty Knepper will be the guest speaker, and writers are welcome to present their submissions.
