A girls only South Iowa Cedar League matchup took place in Sigourney on Monday with the Savages coming out with a 49-28 victory over English Valleys.

Kaylee Weber recorded another double-double with 19 points and 16 rebounds. Joselyn Abell connected on six of nine shots to finish with 13 points. 

The Bears fall to 6-7 on the season. After another win last night over Tri-County 50-17 the Savages are now 12-3 overall and 8-2 in the SICL. Sigourney and English Valleys gear up for round two on Friday.
