An Ainsworth man was arrested on felony charges Wednesday afternoon.
According to the Washington County Communications Center, sheriff’s deputies executed an arrest warrant for local charges on 26-year-old Jason Michael Nichols. Nichols was wanted on charges of possession of a controlled substance third or subsequent offense and possession of contraband in a correctional institution, both class D felonies, for a July 22, 2020 incident. Nichols is being held on a $10,000 cash-only bond at the Washington County Jail. Nichols also faces charges of trafficking in stolen weapons and intimidation with a dangerous weapon, both class C felonies; carrying weapons, an aggravated misdemeanor; and fourth degree theft, a serious misdemeanor, for another ongoing Washington County case.
