For the first time in five games, the Hillcrest Academy Raven boys basketball team is back at home Friday when they welcome the Columbus Wildcats to Dwight Gingerich Court at Hillcrest Union. The Ravens are 9-5 on the year and a blistering hot 7-1 since Christmas including a 54-24 thrashing of Louisa-Muscatine on Tuesday night behind a career high 29 points and seven threes from Eli Ours. John Hughes added 14. On the year, the Ravens are led by Ours at 17 points per game, fourth most in the Southeast Iowa Superconference, his four assists per game and three steals per contest are also team bests. Hughes leads the Ravens on the glass with five boards per game.

Columbus is 1-12 on the year. The Wildcats got their first win of the year a week ago over Louisa-Muscatine 35-34, with Justus Lekwa scoring 15 and Mason Hodges 10. Hodges leads Columbus on the season at 10 points per game and seven rebounds per contest. The Ravens won the earlier matchup between these two schools 44-27 with John Hughes scoring 13 to lead Hillcrest and Mason Hodges 11 for the Wildcats.
