In a girls only matchup that was a rematch from last week, Winfield-Mt. Union managed a season sweep over Highland by having little trouble in a 59-20 Southeast Iowa Super Conference victory.
The Wolves hurried out to a 21-8 advantage after one, 40-15 at the break, and the defense only gave up five points in the second half to put the hammer down in a 39-point win. Jami Wilkerson hit seven of 10 shots for WMU to finish with a game-high 15 points and six steals. Bradie Buffington tallied 12 points and Farrah Nelson was also in double figures with 10. Jessica Kraus and Sarah Burton each had six points for Highland.
The Wolves move to 14-0 on the season and travel to Mediapolis on Tuesday. The Huskies are 1-8 and they host Wapello this evening.
