The Columbus/Winfield-Mt. Union/Lone Tree wrestling team traveled north to Anamosa for the Denny Christiansen tournament Saturday. Columbus finished seventh of nine teams overall with 62 points. Cedar Rapids Washington won the tournament with 167 points. Three Wildcats won their weightclass on the day. At 113lbs, Lane Scorpil went 4-0 en route to the title, capping his day with a fall over Kole Murray of North Cedar to claim the championship.

Chance Malone also went unbeaten in winning the title at 285lbs. Malone beat Connor Andresen of Anamosa by 4-2 decision to win the championship.

Ty Scorpil was the tournament champion at 106lbs with a 2-0 record for the day. In the title bout he beat Tyson Wheeler of Solon by fall.
