A Winter Weather Advisory has been issued this weekend for Washington County.

The National Weather Service Quad Cities Office issued the advisory to take effect from 9 a.m. Saturday to noon Sunday for Washington, Keokuk, Jefferson, and Henry counties, as mixed precipitation of freezing rain, sleet, and snow is expected. Precipitation is predicted to change to all rain late Saturday morning and change to snow that evening. Total snow accumulations of 1 to 3 inches and ice accumulations of a light glaze are possible. Motorists are advised to plan on slippery road conditions, and to slow down and use caution while traveling. Listen to KCII for weather, road condition, and cancellation updates.
