Saturday was a busy day at Louisa-Muscatine High School for area schools at the Southeast Iowa Superconference Championship wrestling meet. The highest finish for a KCII area team came from Columbus/Winfield-Mt. Union/Lone Tree who took sixth with 101 team points. Burlington, Notre Dame took the team conference title with 205.5 points. The Wildcats were led by a pair of Superconference champions. Lane Scorpil took the title at 113lbs with a fall against Zach Harbison of Wapello in the finals while Chance Malone was crowned champ at 285 by virtue of a fall over Brady Butterbaugh of New London. Will Hotz finished third at 182lbs for the Wildcats.

Highland was eighth of 11 teams that competed with 72 points. The Huskies had one champion on the day with Easton Schlabaugh at 106lbs winning the title over Carter West of Burlington, Notre Dame by 15-11 decision. Carlos Valenzuela finished as runner-up at 126lbs for the Huskies.

WACO finished in 11th place in the team standings with 10 points. John McLaughlin at 106lbs and Dalton Provino at 170lbs both finished in sixth place.
