In an all-KCII area showdown Monday in Lone Tree, the WACO boys basketball team got their first road victory of the season 56-45 over the Lions. The Warriors led 12-7 after the first quarter and 24-18 at half. The offenses came together for 37 points in the third quarter after halftime adjustments, but WACO still led 42-37 going to the fourth. Down the stretch, the Warriors proved to be too much and sealed the win. The Warriors controlled the paint, outrebounded Lone Tree by 16 and blocking seven Lion shots. For WACO, Simeon Reichenbach went double double with 15 points and 16 rebounds. Hunter Hughes had 12 points. Aiden Forbes led Lone Tree with 15 points. The Warriors are now 2-15 on the year, Lone Tree remains winless at 0-14.
