Tuesday was worth the wait for the Lone Tree boys basketball team as they scored their first victory of the season 56-45 on the road against Columbus. The Wildcats led 11-10 after the first quarter but Lone Tree dominated the second quarter, 22-10 to build an 11 point lead at the half. The Lions held serve in the second half as Columbus couldn’t mount a push of their own. Lone Tree outscored the Wildcats 24-22 in the second half. The Lions outrebounded the Wildcats by 14, and posted 16 steals as a team. Tyler Bell led Lone Tree with a double double 17 points and 10 rebounds, Adam Knock added 14 points. Owen Watson went double double for Columbus with 24 points and 11 boards. With the win, Lone Tree is now 1-14, with the loss, the Wildcats fall to 1-15.
