The Lone Tree School Board has begun the search process for hiring a replacement for outgoing Superintendent Ken Crawford.

For the last three years, Crawford has split time as a shared superintendent for the Lone Tree and Highland school districts. In January, he resigned his position at Lone Tree effective June 30th to take the position full-time at Highland effective July 1st. Crawford says it’s the right career move for him and his family.

The Lone Tree School Board held three special sessions to hear presentations from three agencies vying to conduct the search to hire Crawford’s replacement: McPherson and Jacobson, LLC, of Omaha, Nebraska; Ray and Associates, Incorporated of Cedar Rapids; and Grundmeyer Leadership Search, LLC.

The board approved a contract with Grundmeyer for services not to exceed $9,072.12. Applications are now being accepted through March 7th with formal interviews to begin March 29th. No date has been set for the final hiring determination. There is also a district stakeholder survey about the search available on the school’s website. The survey period ends February 15th.
