The Mid-Prairie boys basketball team will play it’s third game in four days today when they host the Durant Wildcats. The Golden Hawks are 12-6 on the year, 12-4 in the River Valley, second in the south, after a 59-25 win over West Liberty on Monday where they were led by Carter Harmsen’s 17 points, Aidan Rath with 12 and Alex Bean with 11. On the season, the Hawks are led by Harmsen at 20 points and seven rebounds per game. Jack Pennington has the team lead with five assists and two steals per game.

Durant comes into the night with an overall mark of 3-16 after a 65-37 loss at No. 10 West Branch on Saturday. On the season the Wildcats are led by Nolan DeLong at 14 points per game. Garrett Hollenback pulls down a team best seven boards per night to go along with two assists. These two teams met on January 12th of this year with Mid-Prairie winning 70-35 on the Wildcats home floor with Carter Harmsen scoring 19 points, Ethan Kos 16 and Alex Bean 12. Durant has won 10 of the last 14 in the series. Action begins tonight at 7:30p.m. at Tim Grady Gymnasium in Wellman.
