The Mid-Prairie School District has begun the search process to hire a new middle school principal.
Superintendent Mark Schneider says current principal, Marc Pennington, has submitted his resignation effective at the end of the current school year, “He’s been our middle school principal for about seven years. Prior to that, he taught special education at our high school for 10 years, so he has a fairly long association with the school district. He will be missed.”
Schneider says Pennington is leaving Mid-Prairie for a career opportunity outside of education. He says they’re forming a hiring committee to find Pennington’s replacement and they’ll seek input from middle school teachers, staff, students, and parents as well as community members. Schneider says they hope to start interviewing candidates no later than the week of March 22nd.
