The Washington County Sheriff’s Office arrested a Brighton man on a warrant Tuesday morning.

According to the Washington County Communications Center, 27-year-old Jessy Lee Armstrong was taken into custody at about 10:05 a.m. for allegedly violating his probation on an original conviction of dominion of a firearm by a domestic abuse offender, a class D felony, and domestic abuse assault second offense, a serious misdemeanor. Armstrong was given a suspended five year prison sentence to serve five years probation on February 21, 2020 for the offenses that originally occurred on October 26, 2019. Armstrong was transported to the Washington County Jail on a $5,000 cash-only bond. KCII will bring you more information as it becomes official.
