The Sigourney boys basketball team was knocked out of the playoffs Monday night by fellow South Iowa Cedar League foe Lynnville-Sully 72-44. Both teams started hot offensively with the Hawks holding a 21-17 lead after the first eight minutes. Lynnville-Sully used a 13-5 run that spanned the entire second quarter to open a 34-22 lead going into the half. The Hawks won the second half 38-22 over the Savages including a 20-10 margin in the third quarter to pull away for the win. Levi Crawford led Sigourney with 17 points. The Savages end the season with a 9-13 record and say goodbye to seniors Josh Mohr, Gunner Goff, Mason Moore, Brock Halleran, and Colton Schwab.
