The WACO girls’ basketball season came to a close on Tuesday when the Warriors traveled to Burlington Notre Dame for a class 1A regional quarterfinal and fell 72-30.

The Warriors close the season 8-13 and bid farewell to five seniors in Molly McLaughlin, Lela-Ann Fort, Morgan Graber, Lindsey Roth, and Aubri Garnsey. The Nikes improve to 18-1 and they face off with area school Winfield-Mt. Union (18-0) today in the regional semifinal.
