An Ainsworth man was recently sentenced for a December 23rd incident.

Court documents show that through a plea agreement, class D felony charges of assault while participating in a felony and control of a firearm by a domestic abuse offender were dismissed for 27-year-old Dolan Jerald Rice, and he was convicted of domestic abuse assault while displaying or using a weapon – first offense, an aggravated misdemeanor, and possession of a dangerous weapon while under the influence, a serious misdemeanor. Rice was given a suspended two year prison sentence and a suspended 365 day jail sentence which are to be served consecutively. He must serve three years probation, and fines were suspended. Rice was also found not to have the reasonable ability to pay category B restitution.
