The Washington archery team competed in the Center Point-Urbana tournament over the weekend and placed second out of eight teams.
The Demons claimed second with a score of 3320 with 163 bullseyes while Springville won the event with 3334. Areil Mills had the top Demon score with a 284 and 18 bullseyes to rank fourth out of 138 high school girls. Lane Frana also finished with 284 to rank fifth out of 138 high school boys. Other top scores included Jack Strabala 283, Iris Peterson 277, Brian Fritz 277, Alexis Ide 277, Hayden Janecek 275, Jonathan Moore 275, and Megan Kitchen 274.
Washington now gears up for the Iowa National Archery in the Schools Program (NASP) Bullseye Virtual State Tournament this weekend.
