Hillcrest Academy guard Eli Ours played his final game for the Ravens on Thursday in a district semifinal lost to North Linn, but the senior’s accomplishments will live on in the Raven record books.
Ours is in the top six all-time at Hillcrest Academy in four different major statistical categories. He finished third in school history with 203 steals, behind only Jason Hershberger class of 1992 and Aaron Swartzendruber class of 1994. He’s fourth on the all-time scoring list with 1,188 points, trailing only Mike Hershberger class of 1990, Aaron Swartzendruber from ’94 and Jason Hershberger from ’92. Ours’ 139 made three point goals put him fifth in school history, behind only Mike Hershberger from 1990, Chance Miller from 2012, Eli Gingerich from 2016 and Jason Hershberger 1992. Ours finished sixth on the all-time assist list with 292 helpers, behind only Chance Miller from 2012, Eli Gingerich from 2016, Mike Hershberger from 1990, Aaron Swartzendruber from 1994 and Jason Hershberger from 1992. Ours, a four year starter at Hillcrest, finished his career with a 58-29 record in games he participated in.
