A Rome man will continue serving probation in Washington County after admitting to violating his term.
Twenty-six year-old Tanner J. Waterhouse was arrested on January 21st for violating his probation on an original conviction of operating while intoxicated, third offense, a class D felony. Court documents show that Waterhouse will continue serving probation, but he must now reside in a residential treatment facility in Ottumwa for a period of 180 days or until maximum benefits have been achieved. He must also pay restitution for attorney fees and costs of prosecution in an amount to be assessed by the Clerk of Court. Waterhouse was originally sentenced to two years probation on May 14, 2019 for the offense that occurred on September 26, 2018. He was previously sentenced to serve 180 days in a residential facility on September 30, 2020, and 90 days in jail on December 30, 2019 for previous violations of his probation.
