One former Sigourney girls’ basketball standout is seeing significant playing time in her freshman year at the next level.
Megan Stuhr exchanged the black and gold for red and white by joining the Central College basketball team in Pella. She helped the Dutch to conclude the shortened regular season with a 5-3 record to place fourth in the American Rivers Conference, their highest finish in 20 years. The freshman averages 13 minutes a game coming off the bench and records 3.1 points a night. She is shooting 37% from the floor, has collected 14 rebounds, 10 assists, and four steals. Stuhr amassed over 1,000 points in her time at Sigourney and last year led the Savages with 21 points a contest while shooting at a 43% clip.
Stuhr and the Dutch now gear up for the final week of the season competing in the conference tournament starting on Tuesday.
