A Henry County man is in custody after he was arrested on multiple child pornography charges Tuesday.

The Henry County Sheriff’s Office reports 40-year-old Steven Porter of Hillsboro was arrested earlier this week on four counts of sexual exploitation of a minor or possession of a depiction, an aggravated misdemeanor.

The investigation of Porter began January 25th when the sheriff’s office received a tip related to child pornography received from the Iowa Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force. On February 1st, a search warrant was executed on a home in the 100 block of North Benbow Street in Hillsboro, leading to Porter’s subsequent arrest March 2nd.
