A trial for a Washington man charged with sexual abuse offenses resulted in a hung jury last week.
The jury could not agree on a verdict for 40-year-old Elmer Alberto Ramirez, who faces charges of second degree sexual abuse, a class B felony; lascivious acts with a child – fondle or touch, a class C felony; and indecent exposure and dissemination and exhibition of obscene material to minors, both serious misdemeanors. A new trial has been set for May 18th. Ramirez was arrested in April of 2020 for the offenses that allegedly occurred on January 1, 2014. KCII will bring you more information as it becomes official.
