In posting their highest win total in more than a decade, the Mid-Prairie Golden Hawk boys basketball team reached those heights with a historically good defense. The Golden Hawks held opponents to just 45 points per game, the best mark in school history, breaking the previous record of 47 set in the 2007-08 season.

Mid-Prairie held opponents to 40 points or fewer, eight times in their 23 games and kept opponents from reaching 30 points twice, including giving up just 25 to Tipton, their best outing of the year, in a win December 4th. The Golden Hawks were the best rebounding team in the River Valley South with 698 for the season, second with 68 blocked shots and fourth with 161 steals.

Individually, Carter Harmsen was second in the RVC south with 159 rebounds, Jack Pennington was second with 45 steals and Aidan Rath third with 27 blocked shots. The Golden Hawks finished the season with a 15-8 overall record.
