The Easter Bunny is getting some help delivering eggs this year from the Washington Kiwanis AM’ers in a new event.
Kiwanis AM’ers President Tammy Valentine says the group is excited for their Egg-My-Yard event, co-chaired by Holly Mueller and Erin Almelien. Washington residents can pay $30 to get on the Easter Bunny’s “VIP List” to get 30 eggs scattered or hidden in their yard the morning of April 3rd or 4th. In case of inclement weather or if residents don’t have a yard, the bunny helpers will leave the eggs on the participant’s doorstep in a golden bag with a special note.
Valentine says the Easter Bunny has been very receptive to the club’s new event, as they are mitigating the risk of COVID-19 exposure to their members, “We have a wide age group of members, we have members in their 70s, 80s, 90s, we have someone who’s 91, and we also have young members who have very small children, and so our biggest concern was keeping all of us safe and any people that would help us. So all of our projects this year and events, that has been the priority.”
Valentine encourages those interested to sign up as soon as possible as availability may be limited. The proceeds of this event will go towards the club’s ongoing projects that focus on improving the community and helping families and children in need.
