District 3 Supervisor Marcus Fedler gives the oath of office Tuesday.
The first reading of a proposed wind energy assessment ordinance was tabled indefinitely by the Washington County Board of Supervisors Tuesday.
Supervisor Richard Young stated he was notified by Invenergy Monday that they were no longer pursuing a wind farm project at this time, so Young recommended that they table a reading until another wind farm is proposed for the county. Prior to the agenda item two local landowners spoke against the proposed ordinance during the public comment period. A motion to table the item indefinitely was passed on a 4-1 vote with Marcus Fedler voting nay.
