The driver was injured in a one-vehicle wreck about three miles east of Wayland Monday.

The Henry County Sheriff’s Office reports 21-year-old Kayla Ling of Mediapolis was driving on Highway 78 when she failed to navigate the “S” curve near the Graham Avenue intersection shortly before 5 a.m. Weather-related slick road conditions were believed to cause Ling’s vehicle to leave the roadway. Ling was transported by ambulance for treatment of minor injuries.

Damage to the vehicle was estimated at $5,000. Wayland Fire Department and First Responders and additional area emergency medical services assisted at the scene.
