“Smarties” and “Dum Dums” alike will be rewarded during Hospice of Washington County’s Spring Trivia Spectacular fundraiser tomorrow night.

The non-profit organization is hosting up to 10 teams for the trivia competition at 7 p.m. at Dallmeyer Hall at the Washington County Fairgrounds, and the proceeds will go to help the hospice agency which is anticipating breaking ground on a new facility this year. Office Administrator Stephanie Heisdorffer says a new building is needed as over 500 gallons of water flooded their offices last June, “If you had a chance to ever tour this building we are leaking everywhere, flooding everywhere, all of our nurses’ offices are down there. And we really want to be able to have our nurses focusing on our patient care and our families, more than pulling up carpet because it’s flooded or there’s cracks in the walls. And the building looks really nice on the outside, it’s a nice brick building but once you get on the inside you really see all the problems that we’re incurring day to day.”

Hospice of Washington County seeks to tear down and replace the portion of their facility that contains the basement. Cost is $10 per person for the Spring Trivia Spectacular, and you can find contact information to sign up or sponsor a round above.
