A Lee County woman faces multiple drug charges following her arrest just south of Mount Pleasant Sunday morning.
The Henry County Sheriff’s Office reports 34-year-old Crystal Ecker of Saint Paul, Iowa, was arrested after she was initially stopped for traffic-related offenses while driving on Highway 218 shortly after 11 a.m. During the stop, the sheriff’s K-9 unit was deployed leading to the discovery of drugs in Ecker’s vehicle.
Upon further investigation, Ecker was charged with possession of methamphetamine with intent to deliver, a class B felony, a drug tax stamp violation, a class D felony, and driving under suspension, a simple misdemeanor. She’s being held in the Henry County Jail on $50,000 bond. KCII will bring you more information as it becomes official.
