The college wrestling season recently came to a close for former Sigourney standout Kaleb Reeves and the Coe College junior received national honors.
At the National Wrestling Coaches Association Division III National Championships in Coralville the Kohawk placed third at heavyweight to finish with his first career All-American status. Tabbed as the number three seed, Reeves won his first match by a 4-2 decision, but lost his second 9-6. The junior bounced back to earn four consecutive wins including three falls to secure third place. Reeves concluded the shortened winter season with a 12-2 record. Teammate and former Washington star Tristin Westphal also received All-American honors at 174 lbs.
In all, Coe College finished the tournament with nine All-Americans including three National Champions.
