The Mid-Prairie Golden Hawk boys soccer team saw their first live action against an opponent since 2019 on Thursday when they traveled to Solon for a scrimmage at Spartan Stadium.

The two teams met in a two half format of 60 total minutes of action, with things ending in a 2-2 tie. The Golden Hawks scored first in each half, going up 1-0 on an Owen Trimpe tally. The Spartans would respond before half, sending things to intermission even at one each. The second half followed a similar formula with Trimpe again supplying a go ahead goal before Solon found an equalizer.

Mid-Prairie officially opens their season Tuesday, April 6th when they host Mediapolis in Wellman.
