The Washington Public Library is continuing to expand their in-person services to the public.

The library opened its doors for 30-minute browsing and other services on a non-appointment basis at the beginning of March, and Director Bryna Walker shares how they will be operating for April, “The front door to the library will be unlocked a little bit longer the month of April. So it will be unlocked 10-7 every day and then 10-4 on Friday and 11-2 on Saturday, and we’re going to also have 60-minute book browsing, copying, printing, and faxing rather than 30 minutes. So we’re expanding that time limit as well.”

Walker says she and the library’s board of trustees will continue to look at COVID-19 case numbers as they consider lifting their face mask requirement after this month. The library will also continue holding events virtually through Zoom, though they look forward to hosting some outdoor events at Central Park this summer.
