A variety of employment opportunities and fields will be offered during a job fair hosted by the YMCA of Washington County and Washington Chamber of Commerce next week.
Over 20 businesses offering over 100 jobs from across the Washington County area will be participating in the fair happening from 8 a.m.-noon, Tuesday, April 6th at the Washington YMCA branch. Chamber Executive Director Michelle Redlinger says the YMCA approached the organization to help host the event, for which she says they haven’t hosted in over a decade, “We’re hoping it’s going to be fairly dynamic with a lot of different opportunities and so there are professional positions, there are positions geared for high school students and then the range of employment type between seasonal or full-time. We got a wide variety of businesses that signed up and it should hopefully fulfill a wide variety of different skill sets and positions here in the community.”
Free childcare will be offered at the job fair, and participants will be entered into a $100 raffle. To preview the fair, Redlinger mentions a portion of the available local jobs can be found on the Chamber’s online job portal.
