The Crawfordsville Fire Department has your Saturday (04.03) morning plans taken care of with their annual pancake breakfast fundraiser.
Chief Roy Felts says they’ll be ready to serve up to 300 people from 6-9 a.m. for the drive-through event at the fire station which includes pancakes, whole hog sausage and scrambled eggs for a free will donation. He mentions the Crawfordsville Community Club will also be there to hand out Easter eggs to the kids and proceeds go towards the purchase of new structural firefighting gear, “The protective clothing we wear when we go into a call. Our gear is 10 years old now and we’re supposed to replace it every 10 years, so for 23 sets of gear it’s $76,329.”
Felts says they hope to get additional matching funds for the gear through a grant application to the Washington County Riverboat Foundation.
