The Mid-Prairie archery team set their sights on competition at the CPU Stormin’ Archers Tournament at Center Point Urbana.
The Golden Hawks did not post a high school team score but were led individually by Camden Miller with his round of 276 including 11 tens. That placed him 24th of 138 competing high school boys. Top girls finisher was Zoe Fisher with a 236 that included four tens, placing her 103rd out of 138 high school girls. Other scores for the Hawks included Zane Fisher 273, Christopher Burham 241, Blake Peck and Paytin Swartzentruber 234, Payton Peck 231 and Alexa Huber 203.
The Golden Hawk middle school team placed seventh of seven teams with an overall score of 2,720. Top mark for the Hawks came from Elijah Statler with his 267 including 10 tens, placing him seventh of 119 competing middle school boys. Morgyn Nafziger had the top girls middle school finish for Mid-Prairie with a 253, including eight tens. That was good for 17th of 73 middle school girls. Other scores for the Golden Hawks included Landon Kuenster 258, Hunter Robertson 243, Tommy Miller 242, Tate Bombei 235, Sophia Puttmann 231, Jack Sorrell 230, Nickolas Kelley 214, Tessa Bombei 213, Isabelle Frederick 211, Eli Conrad and Emma Hunter 207, Jacob Debler 191 and Harlee West 152.
