Residents who are interested in finding a new employment opportunity or simply want to learn more about Washington County’s varied industries are encouraged to attend a job fair hosted by the YMCA of Washington County and Washington Chamber of Commerce tomorrow.
Over 20 employers with over 100 positions available will be participating in the fair taking place from 8 a.m.-noon at the Washington YMCA branch, and Chamber Executive Director Michelle Redlinger emphasizes that these businesses span from across the county, “One of the things that’s always in the back of my mind when I think about workforce and economic development is a priority towards our local businesses, and making sure that we’re giving them the opportunities to grow their business. Because they’ve already decided to set their foundation here, grow their roots here, and if we can help them grow and expand then that’s the most natural and it’s the best way that our community will just continue to grow.”
Free childcare will be available for participants, and those who attend will be entered into a $100 raffle. For more information on the fair click here, and a link to the Washington Chamber’s online job portal, click here.
