Another Washington athlete inked themselves onto a college roster this week when Ayden Frazer signed his letter of intent to wrestle at Iowa Wesleyan University in Mount Pleasant.
The Tigers are transitioning back into the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) and the team went 2-2 in this year’s shortened pandemic season. Frazer, who plans to wrestle at 184 lbs next year, explained why Iowa Wesleyan seemed like a good fit. “This has been the school I have been looking at for a while and it presents the best opportunities for me in the future. The coaching staff is really credited and they are bringing in a lot of good kids. We should have a good program next year.” Frazer finished his high school career at Wells Fargo Arena where he won a match at state in the class 2A 182 lbs weight class.
The senior plans to major in special education next fall.
