The Highland golf teams made a trip to Mount Vernon on Friday for a heads up meet with Lisbon and lost in the nine-hole competition.

The Huskie girls shot a 249 at the Kernoustie Golf Club while the Lions recorded a 191. Charlie Aicher led Highland in fourth with a 51, Kelsi Cerny tallied a 64, Jenna Waters 64, and Kerra Longbine 70. The Huskie boys shot a 244 and Lisbon bested them with a 195. Brock Shaedler finished in sixth place carding a 54, Payton Yeggy 56, Isaac Black 63, and Jamison Kasparek 71. 

The Highland boys get back on the course tomorrow in Kalona and the girls host Louisa-Muscatine on Thursday.
