Washington County 4-H thanks those who make their efforts possible during National Volunteer Week.

4-H/Youth Coordinator Amy Green says Washington County 4-H would cease to exist without their countless number of committed volunteers, from club leaders to those who help at the extension office, “We are going to try to use National Volunteer Week just to say ‘Thank you,’ to really recognize the different types of volunteers. We have some really great videos that our 4-H County Council members have made over the past couple months just really highlighting who some of those key volunteers have been in their life and kind of special thank you’s to them, so we’re going to blast those out on social media.”

It’s also ISU Extension and Outreach Week, and Green invites current volunteers and those who are interested in learning more about 4-H and extension to visit their Alive After Five open house happening from 5-7 p.m. today at their office located at the Washington County Fairgrounds. You can hear more from Green during today’s Halcyon House Washington Page on air and at kciiradio.com.
