The No. 10 ranked Mid-Prairie boys soccer team made it three wins in a row to start the season, trouncing Tipton 8-1 at Hillcrest Academy on Tuesday. The Hawks started fast, scoring three times in the game’s first 20 minutes on a pair of goals from Zeus Fugate on assists from Owen Trimpe and Jarrett Hoffman. Trimpe added first half goals of his own in the 20th and 38th minutes on assists from Fugate and Aaron Slaubaugh to make it 4-1 Mid-Prairie going into half.

The Golden Hawks maintained focus and control out of the break with Trimpe completing his hat trick in the 53rd minute. In the 62nd minute Noah Ford scored on a Tucker Miller assist to make it 6-1. Five minutes later the tandem hooked up again, this time in reverse with Ford assisting on Miller’s goal to make it 7-1. Braden Hartley wrapped up the scoring with a 77th minute goal. The Golden Hawk offense kept the pressure on all night, posting 12 shots on goal against the Tiger defense while the Hawks surrendered just one goal and three total shots on goal with Keaton Graber making a pair of saves. The No. 10 ranked Hawks are now 3-0 on the season, winning their matches by a combined 18-2 score. They travel to Cedar Valley Christian on Friday.
