A girl/boy soccer doubleheader took place in Columbus Junction on Tuesday and the Wildcats split the action with Southeast Iowa Super Conference foe Mediapolis. 

The Columbus Community girls picked up their second straight victory with a hard fought 2-1 win. Aaliyah Santos and Juvixsa Valdez each found the back of the net while Santos and Lizbeth Paz were credited with assists. Alynna Leos was strong in goal recording 10 saves on the evening. The Bulldogs returned the favor in the boys game with a 2-1 win over the Wildcats on a goal in the second half.  

Both Columbus teams move to 2-1 with the boys back on the pitch Thursday against Highland and the girls at Tipton on Friday.
