An Ainsworth man was arrested on firearm-related charges Tuesday.

According to the Washington County Communications Center, at about 4:51 p.m. a sheriff’s deputy reported being out with 39-year-old Nicholas Loren Nichols in the 2200 block of Yucca Avenue northeast of Ainsworth. A second deputy responded and arrested Nichols on charges of control of an offensive weapon by a felon, a class D felony, and assault while displaying a dangerous weapon, an aggravated misdemeanor. Nichols was transported to the Washington County Jail on a $7,000 cash-only bond. KCII will bring you more information as it becomes official.
