The Mid-Prairie boys and girls track teams will both be road warriors Thursday when they are next in action. The Golden Hawk boys will travel to Dubuque Senior. They last competed Monday at Iowa City West at the Eastern Iowa Track and Field Festival. Top finishes came from Clarke Latcham, taking fourth in the 400 hurdles and a fourth for the sprint medley team of Braden Hartley, Grady Gingerich, Will Cavanagh and Caleb Thomas. Mid-Prairie also had a top five from the distance medley team of Nathan Quinby, Thomas, Cavanagh and Jamie Stutzman. At Dubuque Senior with the Hawks will be Dyersville Beckman, Cascade, Cedar Rapids Jefferson, Dubuque Hempstead, Dubuque Wahlert, Cedar Rapids Kennedy, Cedar Rapids Washington, Western Dubuque and the homestanding Rams.

The Mid-Prairie girls will be at conference school Tipton Thursday for a meet. The Hawks also competed at Iowa City West Monday at the Eastern Iowa Track and Field Festival. The Mid-Prairie girls had two event champions on the day with Sydney Yoder winning the 3000 in 11:05.50 and Danielle Hostetler taking gold in the 1500 with a time of 4:52.77. Other top fives for the Hawks included runner-up finishes for Tori Boyse in the shot put and discus, third for the sprint medley team of Maddie Edgington, Amara Jones, Amber Swart and Mitzi Evans and a fifth place for Edgington in the 100. Joining Mid-Prairie at Tipton this evening will be Clear Creek Amana, Durant, Easton Valley, Iowa City Liberty, Monticello, Northeast Goose Lake, West Liberty and the Tigers. The boys meet begins at 4p.m., the girls at 4:30 and both will continue into the evening at their respective locations.
